The warm and deep sound of ultra successful production duo Hardsoul touches down with a brand new live act: a back2back DJ set by Roog vs. Greg van Bueren, supported by a host of talented artists. Hardsoul Live is musical ensemble which directly presents a variety of Hardsoul’s work with a fresh new twist. A whole slew of Hardsoul classics are taken to new heights with this new act, offering new exciting creations for the discerning public. In addition, Roog and Greg will also present their own, creative interpretations of their contemporaries’ tracks. Hardsoul Live is as recognisable from the past as it is new today.
The live experience features vocalists that have performs on tracks that the brothers have worked on (such as Mitch Crown 'Sound of Love' and Dorothy Sherman 'Self Religion', for example) and accompanying live music. Hardsoul Live has a choice of two talented percussionists to choose from, with either Jethro Angkotta or Glenn Helder booked to complement the live set-up.
Hardsoul Live’s premiere took place during Queens Night 2008 (at the T-Dansant Royal event) on a packed Stoperaplein in the heart of Amsterdam. The ensemble received an unforgettable response from the public that day, and continues to do so wherever the live act is booked. Essential.
